Gabriel, obtained his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD), graduating with honors in 1996. In addition, he completed the Diplomat of International Taxes at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in cooperation with Duke University.

 

He has rendered his professional services in the Tax Administration Service in Mexico for more than 12 years in the area of Central Administration of International Fiscal Audit.

 

As a public servant, Gabriel conducted several origin verification procedures with foreign producers/exporters, applying the origin provisions as set forth in the FTA's signed by México.

 

Additionally, Mr. Arriaga has spoken in different international forums regarding his experience in the application of the origin procedures.
